Striations Series

My Striations series conveys an ethereal sense of peacefulness through the overall horizontal or vertical composition and the juxtaposed bands of brilliant colored paint. When viewed up close, the contrasting colors can create a vibration that is at once both calming and lively. There may be as many as 100 different hues generously applied to the surface. Warm next to cool. Light next to dark. Vibrant next to pale.  It is a meditative experience for me to create these artworks, as well as to experience them when complete.​
